In March 2018, Benesse UK was appointed by The Consultancy Home Counties Ltd (TCHC), an independent training, advice and consultancy provider delivering skills, employability and enterprise projects, to carry out a social impact evaluation of the OnTrack Thurrock programme.
This programme aims to engage 1,310 young people aged 16 to 29 who are not in employment, education or training and support 768 back into employment, education or training.
The programme has a suite of outputs and results by which the social impact and value of the programme can be formally measured.
This opportunity is for a programme wide qualitative and quantitative evaluation to identify the net economic and social impact of the programme on completion; identify the added value and ancillary benefits of the programme and assess the programmes value for money.
The evaluation project is currently ongoing.
Seeing a controls project manager in action taught me a lot about project success. Their skill in balancing budgets, schedules, and risks is what makes a project work. Getting my ECITB certification gave me the exact skills and confidence I needed to manage projects myself. UNICCM's ECITB Introduction to Project Controls is where I began, and it was a key step.
As career development becomes more essential, platforms like UNICCM provide an efficient pathway forward. Students benefit from a focus on real-world scenarios over rote theory. The convenience of online access doesn't diminish the depth of knowledge provided. Instructors ensure that feedback is timely and constructive. The outcome is a more competent and confident professional.
Benesse UK's appointment by TCHC to evaluate the OnTrack Thurrock program underscores the importance of structured oversight in large-scale initiatives. Conducting both qualitative and quantitative assessments ensures that the program's social and economic impacts are thoroughly understood. Implementing enterprise project management methodologies can further enhance such evaluations by providing a framework for aligning objectives, optimizing resources, and ensuring accountability across all project phases.
