Funding & Project Development
Mike has over 25 years' experience in delivering innovative solutions, including 15 years as a Corporate Director in local government, working with communities and agencies, specialising in creating and managing community cultural, sports, play and leisure facilities, public parks and open spaces.
Some of his notable leading roles include the restoration of heritage parks and buildings, such as Alexandra Park, Burton’s St Leonards Gardens and Ramsgate’s Harbour Arches.

Following discussions with Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) officers, a first stage HLF Parks for the People application was submitted on behalf of the Council. The HLF awarded a first stage grant of £170,000 in 2016 to develop a 2nd stage HLF application for a final restoration and improvements scheme totalling £2.1m.
Throughout his career Mike has actively managed buildings, land and other assets, including public parks and open spaces, beaches, coastal areas, heritage attractions, a 520 acre country park and farm, museums, theatres, schools, leisure centres, and a port and harbour.
